Manchester Airport PIER 2- PHASE 2

As part of Manchester Airport’s £1.3 billion Transformation Programme, NG Bailey is leading the Terminal 2 Pier 2 Phase 2 project to enhance capacity and improve passenger experience. Set for completion in 2025, this phase involves constructing a new pier designed to accommodate larger aircraft like the Airbus A380, improving operational efficiency. A key milestone was recently achieved as Pier 2 became weathertight, marking significant progress. NG Bailey, in partnership with Picow Engineering
Group, is integrating advanced electrical systems to ensure a moder and sustainable infrastructure. The project incorporates offsite manufacturing techniques, enhancing efficiency and quality while minimizing on-site disruptions. Once completed, Terminal 2 will feature 27 new shops, bars, and restaurants, elevating the passenger experience.
The transformation will establish Terminal 2 as the airport’s primary terminal, handling over 70% of passengers and reinforcing Manchester Airport’s position as a major international hub. NG Bailey’s expertise underscores its commitment to deliverng large- scale, sustainable infrastructure projects.
